Pictures and Pictures

I've been so busy lately. It seems like school and work have exploded with so many events that needed to be dealt with asap.

Anyway for spring break I went to Germany to visit family, and it was an amazing trip.

I also had my 21st bithday [tea party].

And a lolita tea party. (Which will be posted later)

Prepare for pictures!

Super Easy Craft Time- Jewelry Frame

Today I turned this:

Into this!

Using stuff I had lying around!

To also do this you will need :
  • A frame
  • Spray paint in desired colour
  • corrugated cardboard
  • fabric in a pattern you like
  • a glue gun
  • push pins
  • optional trinkets to make into decorative push pins.
First take away the backing and glass of the frame. Spray paint the frame the desired colour.
While you are waiting for the paint to dry, use the back of the frame to trace the size of cardboard you need. Then cover it in the fabric, take the edges and glue them to the back of the cardboard. Now stick your fabric-ed carboard into the frame. Stick the pushpins into the cardboard. You can make your own decorative push pins by gluing fabric flowers or buttons to flat pushpins. Now hang your jewelry from here!

Recent Life in Pictures.

Midterms have just ended, and finals are coming up. Life is a bit hectic at the moment.

It usually doesn't snow this much where I live. It was beautiful.

Timed midterm. I didn't have enough time to finish this.

The Countdown Starts

This morning my gentleman friend sent me a message officially starting the countdown to my 21st birthday. I must say, I'm quite looking forward to it. I will be treating myself for a week long, this year.

Since my birthday always falls on dead week, I'm getting a massage at the beginning of the week. In prep for finals of course! Then a small dinner with family and my gentleman on my actual birthdate at my favorite french restaurant. I look forward to duck, red wine and some amazing Thaitian vanilla crem bru lee with loved ones.

Finally the Friday after my birthday, I'll have a small tea party (German tradition prevents one from celebrating before one's birthdate). I'm going to bake some small cakes to have with tea.

And last, but not least, I'm going to do well on all my final exams!

In other news, I am totally in love with this Japanese illustrator. It's ridiculously frilly ad fluffy, and I love it.

Repo: The Genetic Opera

I love this movie. The look, the music, everything. It is definitely one of my favorites.

I'm currently making the residents of my hall watch it.

The Primacy of Touch

My mother bought me this book.

The Primacy of Touch. It is a collection of drawings my the artist Peter Milton. I once saw a show of his at a gallery and was intrigued by the dreamy drawings.
